The delicious mince piesare made in small batches, the mincemeat is made with fresh apples from Hereford, plump vine fruits, zesty spices and a dash of warming cognac. The pastry is made with British wheat and butter from the West Country. There are 2 sizes: Mince Pies - 6 in a box, and Mini Mince Pies - 12 in a box. The Family Christmas Puddings are rich and traditional - packed full of fruit soaked in cognac and ale, which is mixed with sugar, eggs, grated carrots, apples, lemon juice, orange juice and spices. TheCeramic Family Christmas Pudding made with gluten-free flour is steamed, wrapped in muslin andpackaged in a ceramic bowl. Vegan Mini Christmas Puddings made with gluten-free flour are madewithout eggs, and like all the puddings, are gently steamed, cooled and carefully wrapped. Whole cranberries are gently stirred by hand in traditional copper pans with oranges, cinnamon, ginger and allspice to create the Cranberry Sauce with Orange & Spices - a rich piquant sauce. For the Redcurrant Sauce with Port two varieties of delicious redcurrants are gently stirred by hand to create asauce bursting with flavour, then Fonseca port is added to give liquorice and spice notes.  Returning from Seggiano, a selection of Christmas goodies. Baked Fig Balls are made only with figsfrom Cosenza in Calabria. Sticking to a traditional recipe, the figs are dried and slowly cooked in their own juices, moulded into balls, wrapped in fig leaves and baked again. They are traditionally eaten withpecorino cheese and indeed the Seggiano catalogue boldly states that \toa serious cheeseboard\butter. They are twice baked, crunchy and oblong shaped. The fine texture and flavour of Sea Salt & Chocolate Biscotti go perfectly with a coffee while Chocolate & Orange Cantuccini with candied orange peel and pieces of dark chocolate are fabulous dipped in a sweet Vin Santo. The three sumptuous dark chocolate dipped fruits are back for the festive season - Chocolate Rum Figs are Calabrian figs soaked in rum and stuffed with an almond, Chocolate Cherry Figs are made from Dottato figs filled with Amarena cherries, and Chocolate Clementines are halves of Calabrian candiedclementines. New this year are Marzipan Maraschino Chocolates made with marzipan infused with Maraschino cherry liqueur covered in dark chocolate. All the sweets sit in corrugated paper baking cases in very smart cardboard tray boxes. Seggiano Panettone are made by a master baker in Bresica, who has been baking traditional dolci forover 40 years. The Classico Panettone is naturally leavened and the recipe includes organic eggs andbutter with no emulsifiers or preservatives. The Chocolate Panettone is made with a fragrant light dough that is deliciously rich and chocolately. It is also made with organic eggs and butter with no emulsifiers or preservatives. Chestnut Panettone uses artisan marrons glac%u00e9s with organic eggs and local honey to give a lovely chestnut fragrance.Limoncello Panettone is beautifully coloured with buttery lemon aromas from the limoncello marmalade filling. Master baker Beniamino has worked his magic to create a deliciously light Vegan Panettone. The ingredients include sulphate-free fruits, cocoabutter, candied fruit paste and natural vanilla as well as a healthy high oleic oil. All the panettone are packaged in Italian festive card boxes. Panforte are a sweet flat cake made from candied fruit peel, rich spices and toasted almonds. In Tuscany these are enjoyed for dessert or as a sweet snack with a hot drink.
